arts residencies for 2025

I had the fortune of taking two residencies this year. The first was in Tasmania at All that we are in March.

Highlights included a trip to Mount Field to see the tall trees and this work was in response to that experience.

In July I spent three weeks at NG Art Creative Residency in Provence. This was the second time at this residency and as usual it was a wonderful experience immersing myself in the landscape of southern France.

These two works on paper were completed whilst there.

Whilst in Provence we also visited several villages in the Luberon mountains including a favourite of mine, Rousillon – the source of precious natural pigments, including ochre that is sourced from the region.
